MARCIA MARTINEZ LAAS

Founder & Principal

Using her collective skill set from a 20-year career in publishing, advertising, journalism and public relations, Marcia brings the passion and ability of a PR super power to design, travel, arts, real estate and luxury brands to shape customized campaigns for architecture firms, designers, interior products, hotels and resorts, real estate developers, cultural institutions and more .
 
Early in her career, Marcia served as an editor for Bal Harbour Shops Magazine and Lincoln Road Magazine. In 2004, she joined Zakarin Public Relations, where she became partner  in what became Zakarin Martinez Public Relations (ZMPR). She was responsible for shaping  campaigns including for 1 Hotels, MAISON & OBJET,  The Related Group, One Thousand Museum Residences by Zaha Hadid Architects, Bass Museum and countless more over her 14-year career with the firm.
 
She founded Power Collective in 2018 with clients including Perkins and Will, Australis Cruises, Mr. C Residences, Itz’ana Resort & Residences, YoungArts, Ornare, and dozens more. Already, she and her team have  elevated  clients’ results with placements in such media as The Wall Street Journal, AP, New York Times, AD, CNN, Forbes, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Dwell, Fast Company and more, and have developed dynamic campaigns with event, social media, branding, thought leadership and marketing activations, all of which have led to financial growth and success for her clients.
 
An active leader in the community and board member of several non-profits, Marcia’s passion for cultural, charitable and community organizations also links to creative and valuable partnership development for her clients.
 
Born in New York City and raised in Miami, Marcia attended Harvard University, Loyola University and University of Florida for degrees in Integrated Communications, Spanish Literature and  Latin American Studies.
