MARCIA MARTINEZ LAAS

Founder & Principal

Power Collective was founded by Marcia Martinez Laas, a PR powerhouse with two decades of leadership in public relations, marketing, advertising, writing, publishing and community involvement.

 

Formerly partner at Zakarin Martinez Public Relations for 14 years, Marcia led national PR campaigns for some of the biggest names in the industry, from Starwood Capital to Ferrari, The Related Group, 1 Hotels, Morgans Hotel Group, Maison&Objet, Arquitectonica, Fortune International, One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects, Perez Art Museum Miami, The Bass, Miami City Ballet, Moet & Chandon and more.

 

She founded Power Collective in 2018 with and intention to maintain a dynamic boutique firm with passionate, savvy publicists and marketing collaborators who are the best at what they do.

 

Her ability to develop curated content and shape newsworthy stories led to a portfolio of coverage including The Today Show, 60 Minutes, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Conde Nast Traveler, Robb Report, Town & Country, W, Departures, Travel + Leisure, T Magazine, VOGUE, AD, Elle Décor, and many more.

 

Prior, she served as a managing editor at publications including Bal Harbour Shops Magazine, Lincoln Road Magazine, Las Olas Magazine and International Yachtsmen. Early in her career, she worked in advertising and PR firms on travel, luxury retail and spirit accounts.

 

An active leader in the community and board member of several non-profits, Marcia’s passion for cultural, charitable and community organizations also links to creative and valuable partnership development for her clients.

 

Born in New York City and raised in Miami, Marcia attended Harvard University, Loyola University and University of Florida for degrees in Integrated Communications, Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies.
